Both young and old people like to spend their free time on the beach. There is a lot of sunshine in LA too. In LA there are very many companies. These are the top industries: business and management services, health services, tourism, international trade, technology, television production and financial services. LA is often called the creative capital of the world. Because one in every six people living in this city works in creative industry. Artists, writers, filmmakers, actors, dancers and musicians. But let’s now talk about the name of this city. Where does it come from? The name, Los Angeles, is Spanish for “the angels”. The area around Los Angeles belonged to Spain in the past. The original name of the city was El Pueblo de la Reina de Los Angeles. Which in English means: The town of the queen of angels. And this name was inspired by a river with a similar name. Hallo Lilith W.,
